Ed Berenhaus was born and raised in New York City and his in-depth knowledge of the city’s distinctive neighborhoods provides unique insights for his clients, whether buying or selling a home.
Prior to his career in real estate, Ed developed his marketing and negotiating skills as a marketing/advertising executive and creative director for major television networks and online media. He created marketing campaigns for notable companies like NBC Universal, AOL, and the Viacom Networks, as well as TV icons Joan Rivers and Martha Stewart. He attributes his successful media career to paying very detailed attention to his clients’ needs and translating these priorities into strategic creative and actionable results.
Ed employs these same principles in real estate by listening closely to the homebuyer’s preferences and then presenting a carefully curated selection of properties that could be a good fit. For sellers, Ed creates customized marketing strategies to identify and attract the right buyers.
Ed was accredited by the Real Estate Board of New York as a Certified Negotiation Expert to help achieve the best outcome for his clients, through competitive hard-bargaining and collaborative negotiating techniques.
A native of Queens, Ed takes great pride in his New York roots. He has lived in Manhattan for over three decades and currently resides on the Lower East Side.
