Originally from Loudoun County, just 25 miles from Washington D.C., James fell in love with SW Virginia when he came to Blacksburg to attend Virginia Tech. After graduating with a marketing degree (and a minor in real estate,) James chose to stay in the area and pursue a career as a Realtor?, during a time when the country's real estate outlook was mercurial at best. Several years and many transactions later, James knows how and enjoys providing the efficient, timely and attentive customer service demanded for success in the Blacksburg-area's fast-moving and vastly-varied real estate market. He has a passion for helping clients sell their property, constantly fine-tuning marketing strategy and staying on top of market trends. He feels immense satisfaction helping sellers maximize return on their investment in order to meet long-term financial goals. Likewise, as an Accredited Buyer's Representative and local homeowner, James enjoys helping first-time home-buyers learn each step of the home-buying process and he thrives in helping move-up buyers find their "forever" home. When not working with clients, James serves on various committees within the Virginia and New River Valley's Association of REALTORS. On a personal note, James loves spending time with family (including his seven young nieces & nephews), volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, supporting Virginia Tech, attending Blue Ridge Church and hiking & camping in the NRV's beautiful mountains.
