About Jeanne
Jeanne Whipple — Founder, Philly Home Girls
I’m the founder of the Philly Home Girls, and my “Come-to-Philadelphia” story is a lot like Goldilocks’—trying to find a place that feels just right. I grew up in a small town near Greenville, South Carolina. In a very Mary Tyler Moore moment, I decided to enroll at the University of the Arts and become a big—but not too big—city girl. Before long, I felt Philly was a little too small, so I transferred to The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I earned my B.A.
The price of real estate, the cold, and the vastness of Chicago eventually brought me back to Philadelphia in 2002. That’s when I bought my home in Fishtown and thought, “Ahhhh… just right.”
In those early years back in Philly, I transitioned my fresh-out-of-college career from advertising to marketing for architects and real estate agents, which naturally evolved into full-time real estate sales.
At home in Fishtown, I recharge, let my hair down, and relax—and I want the same for every Philly Home Girls client. I’m here to help my team of seasoned, versatile professionals guide you on your journey to find a home that suits your lifestyle, discover your dream, and live in it.
Buying or selling real estate is one of the most important experiences in a person’s life—right up there with having a baby, running a marathon, or taking a transcontinental flight. You wouldn’t do those things without a seasoned professional by your side, captaining your ship or cheering you on. Why would you buy a house without the right real estate agent guiding you through the technical details, local customs, and market conditions surrounding your transaction?
The Philly Home Girls team does all that while keeping your unique priorities in focus and protecting you from your particular fears. Everyone copes with pressure differently, and it’s our job to help our buyers and sellers with proven, experience-based methods that make their goals not only achievable but also enjoyable and stress-free.
My real estate resume includes top rankings in awards, service, and sales volume on local, state, and national levels—from Realogy, NRT, Coldwell Banker Preferred, USAA, Philadelphia Business Journal, the Forum of Executive Women, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and Cendant Mobility. I also served for seven years as Chair of the Ethics and Grievance Committee at the Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors and recently held the position of Secretary on the Board of Directors.
But for me, the greatest achievements aren’t the awards—they’re the five-star reviews from my clients and being consistently recognized as one of Philadelphia’s most highly reviewed real estate agents on major platforms.
When I’m not helping my team, clients, or community, you’ll find me playing tennis, hiking with my dachshunds (off-leash—don’t tell!), reading Architectural Digest, enjoying a local cultural event, or exploring Philly’s incredible food scene. As a creative outlet, I build new-construction homes from the ground up and occasionally take on a flip or two—because I just can’t resist the magic of creating something new.
