About Bio:
I was born in Queens in 1957.  I am first generation American and the daughter of 2 Holocaust survivors, who instilled a very strong work ethic in me.m  I grew up & lived on Long Island until I was 23 when I married my husband Steve in 1981 &  we moved to Bay Ridge.  I’m a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology, where I earned an AAS degree in 1977.  I spent 12 successful years in the fashion industry, where I held several positions, my last one being in sales shortly before I gave birth to my first daughter, Jennifer in 1987.  At that time, after some urging from my husband, I earned my real estate license and became an agent with Century 21.  Knowing absolutely nothing about real estate, other than what I learned in the generic real estate course and 1 week’s training with Century 21, I began to build my business from the ground up.  I have only been with 4 different offices in my 33 years in the real estate industry, the first 2 with Century 21, a small independent company in between and finally the last 21 years with RE/MAX.  My main focus and goal is to provide the best possible service to my clients and customers.  What sets me apart from others, besides my honesty & integrity, is my sense of humor.  I have earned several awards from RE/MAX, including The Hall of Fame in 2006, denoting $1,000,000  in commission earned while with the company & The Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing over $3,000,000 in commissions earned while with the firm as well as at least 7 years of service with RE/MAX.  I’ve spoken on behalf of RE/MAX on several occasions.  I am a Realtor & hold a broker’s license.  I have earned 6 national professional designations- ASP (accredited staging professional), e-Pro (technology designation), GRI (graduate realtor institute), PMN (Performance Management Network), SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) & ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative).  I am also a past director on The Brooklyn Board of Realtors, past President (2008 & 2013) of the Brooklyn Chapter of The Women’s Council of Realtors, a past VP of The Bay Ridge Real Estate Board, past Chairperson of The Brooklyn Board of Realtors Membership Committee, sat on The Grievance Committee for The BBOR and sat on The Advisory Committee to The Brooklyn Multiple Listing Service.  I serve on the board of a local charity- Grandma’s Love, helping to feed hungry children in our area.  I’ve been the office champion for The Children’s Miracle Network and raised monies annually for the fight against breast and other cancers.  My interests include shopping, Pilates, walking, fashion, cooking, baking & antiquing.  I have 2 daughters, Jennifer, 33 and Amanda, ,27 who are the pride & joy of my life.
