Martha has always been interested in public policy. Since earning a B.A. in political science and an M.A. in public administration from the University of Cincinnati, she has served as vice president of the CDC Association of Greater Cincinnati, president of the board of trustees for Pleasant Ridge Development Corporation, secretary for the Pleasant Ridge Community Council and board member of the Woman's City Club of Cincinnati. She has been certified as a Housing Development and Economic Development Finance Professional by the National Development Council and has received the Outstanding City Staffer Award from the CDC Association of Greater Cincinnati and the Levels of Care Award from the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati.
