While you can find many homes in developed neighborhoods, it's just as common to find a farmhouse with plenty of land. If you want to live in a suburban or rural area, North Dakota has a wide variety of both. There is also a good balance of new homes, older homes, and foreclosures, giving you plenty of options no matter what type of budget you have.

There are many suburban communities with large family homes. If you want an even larger community, Red River Valley is home to Fargo, North Dakota. Homes in the area range from $170,000 to $450,000 on average depending on the size and community.
