Saratoga Springs, New York, is an affluent suburb located less than an hour from the state capital of Albany. Historic mansions are the highlight of the North Broadway and Union Avenue neighborhoods, both of which lie within the city’s preservation district. At the north end of Saratoga Springs is Skidmore College, a small, private liberal arts school. Saratoga Springs High School is well known for its high-caliber drama and music programs and has earned top national rankings in several sports.
