Saratoga Springs, New York, is an affluent suburb located less than an hour from the state capital ofAlbany. The Broadway district in downtown Saratoga Springs is filled with unique shops and restaurants and has a vibrant nightlife. A short walk west of Broadway is the Beekman Street Art District. This newly revitalized area features numerous art galleries as well as an eclectic mix of boutiques and eateries. At the north end of Saratoga Springs is Skidmore College, a small, private liberal arts school. There are many excellent public and private K-12 schools throughout the city, including several top-ranked public elementary schools. Both Division Street and Lake Avenue Elementary Schools received a 10-out-of-10 rating from GreatSchools.org in 2015. Saratoga Springs High School is well known for its high-caliber drama and music programs and has earned top national rankings in several sports. Recreation, the arts, shopping, entertainment and excellent schools are some of the many reasons Saratoga Springs is the fastest growing city in New York state.
