GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

the best parts of Albia community highschool is the mathimatics and science teachers that try so very hard to make this dump as comfortable as possible. I speak from experience when I say that most teachers here do not care or try. The worst part of this establishment is the athletics, the starting line ups and athletes liked most by coaches its souly determined by your last name or affiliation with said coaches.

The teachers here are fantastic and very understanding. They are very inclusive and are great listeners. If you have a problem they will not brush you off they will help you. I would recommend Albia Community High School to all types of people. We have progressive teachers and it a safe place for everyone.

I really enjoyed going to school here. It was a small school but with a big personality. I was worried that it would work for me because I don't enjoy the smaller schools. But I found a good spot in the school. They have a phenomenal arts program, though I think they could spend more on this part. The sports teams all have great places to practice and lots of money and time are devoted to the teams. This school wants their students to succeed in all that is open to them.

This school district has low quality teachers. Like many small towns they would rather have a good sports team that a high-achieving academic class.

ACHS is an innovative school; most teachers, the counselors, and administrators work to do what is good for students.

If you academics are more important than education then this is a great school to put your student in. If you want your student to have 4 "study halls" and only take maybe 2 classes then this is a great school for your student. However, if you want your student to graduate with a wide understanding...

This school does not try to educate students. Instead they just try and get them to pass. Most students that attend a 4 year college after graduating are not prepared and eventually drop out. The Administration has favorites and it shows. They will dicipline one student one way and turn around at tr...
