GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The experience at Sandy Creek is unique to other schools, but there needs to be an improvement on how the educational program is applied to the school environment that will benefit both the students and staff.

I would like to see a lot of things change. A lot of teachers are quitting because of the high school administration. There are positives like the NCAPS program. We go on job shadows and mentor visits. That part is really nice for students, but we have so much work in between we have to do. We also need to prepare for ACT testing and College more than we do.

I have really enjoyed being here the last four years. It has made my high school experience better than it could have been if I would have gone to a larger school. The teachers are always more than happy to help you with anything that you need. The size of our school is very nice as well because I know basically everyone in the high school and that makes being in the hallways as a freshman not as intimidating.

This is a great group of communities that have come together to form a central school. We have kids from kindergarten to senior level. We have always found the teachers put forth their best effort and administration open to talking about issues. The college courses my older kids are taking are pheno...

My children currently attend this school and are doing great. The curriculum and teachers are making great strides. There are a few communication gaps that I think the administration can work. Overall the teacher to student ratio is allowing my children the time to improve on academics.

I attended this school 7th-12th grades. The culture of this school revolves 100% around athletics. Any child looking for an academic challenge will only be let down at this school and may find it difficult to fit in, especially if transferring in after elementary school. After leaving this school, I...
