Haxtun High School is just average. There are good teachers and admin who care about the kids, but there are some who could care less. The teachers who really cared made class fun. I've heard that some new administration that were just hired this year have been improving the school. The sports and activities are about average as well. I found that a lot of stuff got ruined by parents being overly involved and wanting everything to be their way instead of doing what was best for the kids. The best activities were the ones with good supervisors and limited parent interaction. I feel like a lot of classrooms could use some more updated materials and the building is old. I don't feel like the classes truly prepare you for college enough either. With such a small school you had very limited friend choices. Many kids were not the nicest, but that's partially due to parents. It's not a bad place, but it definitely could stand some improvement.

Throughout my time within HHS I've enjoyed time spent in the classroom without a doubt. The courses I have taken have sparked many new interests, but my favorite classes where my electives of agriculture and art. I chose this rating because there are some issues between students and administration that can sometimes get in the way of everyone's education.

It was close to home, the only one I've ever known. And its not Holyoke, or Fleming. I do recommend it, the teachers are hard yet fair. And I've never been mistreated by any of the staff.

A great group of teachers that work very hard to provide students with a quality education. Many opportunities to succeed in extra-curricular activities. A great community supporting the school
