The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My overall experience at Ripley High School is good. The school's food is not fulfilling or satisfying. I have to bring my lunch daily to be satisfied with my meal. The bathrooms also lack general hygiene. Some of the teachers cannot also teach their students efficiently. However, their art program is excellent and allows students to identify their strengths and weaknesses as artists.

I have attended Ripley Schools for my whole school experience, so some may say my opinion is biased. However, I do not believe this is true. Ripley is a small town with a population of around 5,000, and the school reflects the small town. I have talked with people from other schools, and they can not believe that I know everyone that is in my grade. That is normal to me though, and I would not want it any other way. One thing I would to see changed is the college preparation. Alumni say it is a big change. Overall, I love Ripley High School and I would not have wanted to spend my teenage years anywhere else.
