GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I hate it. Most of the students are out of control and get away with bullying. Condoms have been passed out in the hallways. Most of the students have done drugs and brought other illegal substances.

We had a few students in my class smoking Jules during class last year and a kid who had mental issues was hit by another kid during a game of dodgeball then when the kid got back in the hit the person who hit him when he picked him up and threw him on the ground. The child with mental issues was blamed. But some of the teachers are really nice and supportive.

Wellsville-Middletown R-1 is a very small rural school district. Overall, teachers seem to leave as quickly as possible. It's a backup job for teachers :( . Since the school is so small, everyone knows everyone's names, which is great and makes it easy to make friends.
