Situated where the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains transition into the Tennessee Valley, Sevierville has long been a nexus between Knoxville in the north and the Appalachian towns in the south. Sevierville, Tennessee is a breathtaking city located in beautiful eastern Tennessee. The property prices in this town tend to be higher, and you may find that houses are more expensive given their idyllic locations and architectural prowess.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park can be found only ten miles south of Sevierville, which is the county seat of Sevier County, Tennessee. In 2010 the population was found to only be a little less than 15,000 people spread across the city's 20 allocated square miles. The town's eastern portion features the Little Pigeon River which absorbs the West Fork before curving north and pouring into the French Broad River. The city is centered on the land that is between the two junctions of the East and Middle Fork and the West Fork, making the town a beautiful river-view destination for residents and tourists alike. Major state and federal highways intersect in Sevierville, keeping the town well-connected to more busy metropolitan areas. U.S. Route 441 leads to Knoxville as well as Cherokee in North Carolina.

The town has an extensive history as a settled area. Native Americans of the Woodland period were probably the first human inhabitants of the area, settling villages around 200 A.D. The Cherokee controlled most of the area by the early 18th century, and by 1785 Euro-American settlers had gained complete control of what is now considered to be Sevierville. Given its tremendous backstory, Sevierville is home to a plethora of nationally recognized historic sites. These sites include the Sevier County Courthouse, the Sevierville Commercial District, the Buckingham House, Brabson's Ferry Plantation, Rose Glen, and the Harrisburg Covered Bridge. Other points of interest are the Burchfield Grove Memorial Arboretum, the Douglas Dam, and the Tennessee Museum of Aviation. Sevierville also hosts a number of cultural festivals, including the Bloomin' BBQ & Bluegrass Festival, the Corvette Expo, the Sevier County Fair, and Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland. Sevierville, Tennessee is a town blooming with historical relevancy and a ripe cultural heritage. The benefits of the tourist industry have nourished the town's economic success, and Dolly Parton herself was born in the magnificent Tennessee location. Families and individuals looking to enjoy a town full of natural and historical beauty have found themselves an irresistible gem in Sevierville.
