Properties of immense beauty reside in Wellington, typically containing swaying palm trees and elegantly smooth building structures.
Houses in Wellington have mostly in common a crisp, regal touch and a clean design ideal for weathering the tropical elements and for being aesthetically pleasing. Wellington, it is interesting to note, was originally on land called the Flying Cow Ranch which featured the world's largest strawberry patch. It began as a planned unit development in 1972 and was initially a slowly moving bedroom community. After its incorporation in 1995, the city has become a bustling center of entertainment and commerce and is now known as the international center for equestrian sports. Wellington hosts the Winter Equestrian Festival as well as more than forty weeks of equestrian competitions annually. The town holds what is the world's largest and longest running horse show for three months every year, and hosts polo matches including the USPA Piaget Gold Cup and the Nespresso U.S. Polo Open.
Fortunately, you don't have to be an equestrian sport enthusiast to enjoy the amenities and recreation that Wellington has to offer. Wellington houses 35 different parks, of which the Aquatics Complex, the Foresteria Park, Patriot Memorial, Aero Club Drive Park, and the Pine Valley preserve are just a few. There is a large renovated library and the Wellington Amphitheater for those looking for cultural and intellectual stimulation, and in nearby West Palm Beach there are performing arts centers and art museums. There are two malls for avid shoppers, one being The Mall at Wellington Green and the other being the Old Wellington Mall. For families with children, there are a plethora of public schools to choose. Five elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools provide education for the younger crowd. For those interested in science, BE Aerospace has its corporate headquarters in Wellington. The town of Wellington is a town bursting with life, education, and employment opportunities where people can be found enjoying their own realistic tropical paradises.
