Northside aptly comprises part of the north side of Elkhart. The Indiana neighborhood is north of downtown and the Saint Joseph River, mixing industrial and residential areas. The gardens also host annual events like a Winter Wonderland light show and the Groovin' in the Gardens concert series. High Dive Park is popular for fishing, tennis and its dog park. A neighborhood Kroger provides convenient grocery shopping. Rise 'N Shine Bakery, RG's Pancake House and George's Gyros are local favorites on the eatery side. Main, Cassopolis and Johnson Streets connect the area elsewhere in Elkhart, and the Interurban Trolley Blue Line has bus routes.
