New, New, New... Adorable Cottage.... Great functional floor plan. Wow! this almost like a brand new home. New Roof - new shingles and new roof decking. New A/C inside and out. We gutted the bathroom down to the studs. New plumbing in the walls, new tub, nice cottage decor tile on shower wall and floor. Tile is laid on an angle to give it extra pizazz. We used Subway tile on the side walls of the shower for a little more zing. Same with the kitchen, gutted it down to the studs and started over. New Cabinets with soft close doors and drawers.
We recessed the lights for a cleaner look, I love the wood countertop with matching accent above the sink opening. New stainless steel appliances - microwave, range and frig. We used shades of white to give the home a bright cheery feeling. The floors are a waterproof laminate that give a nice contrast to the light colors and helps to anchor the bright airiness of the home. Lots of windows helps to flood the home with light and bring the outside in. We took the walls to a smoother finish instead of a rough knock down - the smoother walls work better, giving the home a classic feel. The base boards are 5 inch craft style, door and window molding are also craft style. The craft style molding helped to give the home cleaner lines yet having the windows trimmed out gives it a more classic upscale finish. The outlets and switches are new, the light fixtures are new, the door hardware is new, the water heater is new, the 3 porches have been rebuilt, we added a roof over the side entry to keep you out of the weather, the outdoor lighting is new, even the mailbox is new. If you are looking for a special little home -- this is it.
