Chimney facing and rain hood are solid copper. Exterior light fixtures are blown glass and/or bronze all integrated into the Lutron lighting control system. The main entry opens to a circulation pathway, warmed by a mahogany paneled barrel vault providing access to the wings and opens to the main living spaces. This passageway also accesses a winding stairway to the upper floor and a powder room. The powder room vanity is fabricated from a solid slab of lapis lazuli. The entry walls are finished with stone veneer matching the exterior creating a depth of finish reminiscent of an 18th century stone house. Murals highlight the entry door recess and passageway, framed in mahogany trim. The staircase treads, risers and railing are crafted from recycled antique chestnut beams with inlaid nosing highlights. The stone veneer runs up the winding stairs extending the thickened exterior wall. The interior finishes feature custom milled Honduran Mahogany bead-board paneling and trim, stone veneer and painted murals. The wallboard finishes throughout the home are light skipped troweled masterfully executed reminiscent of hand troweled plaster. The entry curved vault extends into the entry as a copper clad canopy softening the outdoor-indoor transition. The living room is highlighted by the stone and copper clad fireplace bracketed with two story bookcases and a classic oak and bronze rolling ladder. The dining area features built-in cabinetry for service and linens, the upper cabinets glazed with divided light beveled glass. Blown glass shaded pendant fixtures provide soft warm ambience lighting across the spaces. The floors throughout the common living areas are antique recycled chestnut beams re-sawn into long, random length and width planks, hand scraped. The kitchen service counter tops are soapstone with formed sinks and drainboards. The island countertop is solid walnut suitable for cutting, chopping and other preparations. Above the island is a custom pot rack. The equipment list includes: two dishwashers, a built-in Wolf coffee maker, a large drawer microwave oven, a full line of propane fired AGA ovens (four) and cookline including open burner cooktop with two convection ovens (electric), and built-in refrigerator and freezer. The hood uses a commercial grade exhaust fan enclosed in painted wood cabinetry. Beautiful, timeless, porcelain ceramic pillow tiles back the cookline and line the countertops. There is a pot-filler over the stove top. The Primary suite includes a stunning Asian inspired bathing space and walk-in multi-head shower. The walk-in closet is enormous and well-organized including seating for dressing. The quiet sleeping area of the primary suite features an electronic controlled blackout drapery system. The heating and cooling system are zoned ground-based water to water heat pump w/filtered air handling. Internet provided by Astound Cable with 1 gigabyte down and 30 megabyte upload speeds.
