As of June 2018Don't miss this rare opportunity to own a Usonian Home Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright in the Usonia Historic District built by the architect Kaneji Domoto; one of Wright's apprentices. This development retained all of the character-defining features of Wright's Plan; including the lot sizes, circular shapes, relationship to each other, plantings, circulation systems, and siting of buildings. Circular lots were drawn as polygonal shapes. Thirty Seven of these homes were designed by Wright's apprentices using the Unsonian Principles; three were built by Wright Himself. His intent was to carefully fit into the natural topography so as to appear to grow from the sites. His vision was to design an organic home that maintained harmony with the outside surroundings. Wright's concept is notable in architecture for its outstanding collection of post-World War II modern residential architecture constructed between 1949-1963.
