This camp is in an ideal place in the sheltered mouth of Fish Creek giving you good water depth, shelter from the wind, privacy and ease of access; the best of both worlds. The large deck has a great view that is also shared by the interior of the camp which has an open design with a spacious feeling. Other highlights include 2 docks, 2 storage buildings with electricity, propane heat and plenty of parking. Black Lake is truly unique being approximately 19 miles long and 4 miles at its widest point. It has over 60 miles of diverse shoreline in addition to its many islands. Because it has no industry on its shore, the water quality is so good that Black Lake has no fish consumption advisories. Boating enthusiasts can travel up the Indian River to historic Rossie or downstream to the Eel Weir Dam on the Oswegathie River. Commonly known as A Freshwater Fisherman's Paradise it boasts small mouth bass, large mouth bass, crappie, walleye, northern pike, perch, bluegills, catfish and an occasional Muskie. The Fish Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is a 4,438-acre tract of land located in southwestern St. Lawrence County one mile south of Black Lake.
