How about enjoying numerous surrounding state trails. There are great views from Tanbark trail and from the fire tower on top of Mt Tremper Trail, right on Plank Rd. And it’s less than a mile to Phoenicia. You are right on the bus route so you could stop right in front of your house from NYC. This is a great place to relax with friends.
