Inside is a front three-season porch, which we have spent many a day and night rocking in our rocking chairs, looking out at the neighborhood, watching the rainfall, the snow accumulate. I’m not sure if my favorite thing about the porch is that on each side of the doorway into the main house is a large picture window – original to the house, and atop each window is an etched window, also original to the house. Maybe it’s the brick wall that faces south, or perhaps the actual front door to the main house, also original, also with etched glass. Inside the living room I look around, side-to-side, top-to-bottom. I am standing on the original wood floors. The woodwork is also beautiful. Not many houses are made with such beautiful woodwork, crown molding included. We love the high ceilings. The kitchen standout is the brushed nickel backsplash. We are very proud of the fleur-di-li design and how it looks with the rest of the kitchen.
