One of the most desirable neighborhoods in Springfield. This house was taken down to two brick walls and remodeled eleven years ago. Upstairs features a Jack and Jill full bath with a tub/shower combo and 2 sinks. There is another full bath on this level sitting in between two more bedrooms. One we used as a guest bedroom. Three of these rooms are equipped with custom closets. There is also an office on the second story. The main floor is very open, with a living room, dining room, kitchen combination. Front door is original. Next to the kitchen is a big pantry also with custom shelving. Then, just inside the back door is the laundry room. It too has some custom features. As you are heading to the primary suite, you pass a cute 1/2 bath. The primary bedroom is huge with a great bathroom. It has a walkin shower and a jetted tub. The closet, also custom, is to die for. The basement is finished except for the utility room. It is open and features another full bath. We lived here for 11 years and never had water in the basement. If you wanted to, you could easily put in a second primary bedroom for that snoring husband. Outside you have an elevated front porch which is common to the area. People in this neighborhood are very close, so you will have several people stop and talk. In the back we added a carport to the two car garage with an attached tool shed. It also has a storm shelter. We used it as a dog house. No dogs were ever in the main house. We put a window unit in the summer and a space heater in the winter. We essentially had a dog run which could be closed or open to the rest of the yard. We also put in two electric gates, so you can drive straight through to the back alley. Many people in this neighborhood have to move other cars before the can leave. This is why so many park on the street. It is truly a great area to live. You can walk downtown to restaurants, Cardinal games, or MSU games.
