A unique property like this is rarely available to the public. This parcel is an entire section of land located North of Ishpeming on the Silver Lake Basin. The Silver Lake Basin is the fist basin in a series of dams on the Dead River waterway. This parcel lies on the Northwest side of the Basin where the Wildcat Creek flows into the lake. The parcel has frontage on the Wildcat Creek as well as over 1/2 mile on the Silver Lake Basin. There are also a few ponds on the interior of the property. The land is rugged high ground with no through roads or developments. This area is remote and landscape is comprised of high rolling hardwood ridges mixed with thick creek and river bottoms. The Basin lost a significant amount of water in a flood about 10 years ago, but recently the dam has been replaced and the water level is rising. It has a ways to go, but the Basin is mostly open water again. The fishing is still good, and the Basin is full of waterfowl.
