In Southwest Youngstown, Idora is a walkable community currently undergoing revitalization. Once home to the now-defunct Idora Park amusement park, the area has seen new life with increased housing stock and new businesses. Mill Creek Park, a 2,600-acre green space, features the scenic Cohasset Loop trail around Lake Cohasset. Visitors can observe wildlife like otters, beavers and eagles. The Youngstown Playhouse, a century-old community theater, provides entertainment and educational workshops.
