When driving through the Atlanta Metropolitan area, if you blink, you might miss Lithonia, a tiny town of barely 2,000 people nestled in the outskirts of Atlanta. The name Lithonia is derived from the words 'rock' and 'place,' appropriate since Lithonia is most commonly known for its abundance of granite. There are in fact plaques around town that refer to Lithonia as the 'City of Granite.'
