Downtown Anchorage Condos for Sale

Downtown Anchorage is close to several restaurants, retail stores and live entertainment at the Park Strip. The neighborhood is primarily a commercial hub with a largely rent-based market. Many condos, bungalows and cottages were built in the early-to-mid 20th century and offer ample backyard space. Prices are slightly more expensive than other Anchorage neighborhoods due to its prime location. Students who live downtown attend schools within the Anchorage School District, with campuses such as Denali Elementary, Romig Middle and West Anchorage High School offering STEAM classes and extracurricular activities. There are plenty of parks and green spaces downtown, including Delaney Park, which has athletic fields, a playground, a rose garden and a steam locomotive. The neighborhood is also home to the Anchorage Fifth Avenue Mall, the Alaksa Center for Performing Arts and the Anchorage Museum, offering a wide range of cultural experiences. Dining options are also abundant, with restaurants including Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop, Tent City Taphouse and Humpy’s Great Alaskan Alehouse.
