From agriculture to mining operations and retail to healthcare, the state has a wide selection of career opportunities. Wal-Mart, the world's largest corporation, adds to the economy with 9,500 of their 2.2 million employees situated at Bentonville's Headquarters. Dillard's Department Stores, Tyson Foods and Murphy Oil also employ thousands of the state's residents. The U.S. Government employs the most, however, with more than 57,000 employees in the state.
