Rockdale is a suburban community south of Ashland with a rural small-town feel, but it might not stay that way for long. The community has well-regarded schools that are growing, and nearby commercial options along U.S. Highway 60 are increasing. "Boyd County has a great school district. People that live out there may never want to move to Ashland because they want more of the country living," says Realtor Alison Christie of Ross Real Estate. "There's pretty good community spirit vibes. Some people definitely want to live in the county and not the city, and they feel pretty strongly about that.
