People who live in Willow Lane, a neighborhood in Brooklyn Center, are often outside enjoying the community’s sidewalks. “Every day I’m out there, I see a man walking his dog,” says Carolyn Jass, Realtor with Twin Cities Real Estate. “It’s nice that this is an area where people are walking.” The homes and townhouses are part of a quiet community near some of the city’s most popular amenities, including Palmer Lake and the Shingle Creek Crossing shopping center. The interstate borders the neighborhood, making it easy for commuters to access the Twin Cities. Willow Lane's grassy lawns stretch to the curb, shaded by oak, maple and the occasional spruce trees. Most of the neighborhood is made up of mid-20th-century properties. “The homes in that area, they all look nice,” Jass says. There is a mix of ranch styles and split-levels, many with hip or gable roofs that let snow easily roll off. The northern part of the neighborhood consists primarily of townhouses. Single-family homes typically fall between $250,000 and $325,000, while townhouses range from $190,000 to $250,000. “I’ve been selling condos and townhouses in that area for a while, and these prices seem fairly average,” Jass
