Brunswick’s Old Town neighborhood was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 for its iconic Victorians and original 18th-century town layout. When Brunswick was initially laid out in 1771, it comprised a couple hundred acres; the city has since expanded, but its original borders form modern-day Old Town.
