At nearly 400 square miles in size, the city of Buckeye, Arizona is certainly not lacking in physical space for newcomers. Even in spite of a population boom of over 600% since 2010, the number of citizens within Buckeye’s borders is only around 60,000. As long as you don’t mind the mild desert climate inherent to this part of the United States, the relatively inexpensive real estate market means you can purchase a house with several bedrooms and bathrooms as well as have decent yard space without breaking the bank.
Buckeye has a much wider spread of professional fields in which large numbers of its citizens are employed. Where the typical United States city tends to have more of an economic focus in the finance and sales industries, Buckeye also has a great deal of people in the construction and production sectors. This is likely an effect of the still-expanding nature of the city with its large tracts of unoccupied land. If you’d be coming here with the intent of working in construction or production, you’d be striking while the iron is hot. This being a suburban town, it is quite welcoming to families joining the community, with a plethora of public education options available for younger citizens through one of the seven school districts that serve the area. For an entry in the world of higher education, the Estrella Mountain Community College is also nearby.
With so much wide open space within the city’s borders, much of the recreation engaged in by locals takes place outside in one form or another. There are a fair number of golf enthusiasts in Buckeye, and as such, the Raven, Copper Canyon and Sundance Golf Clubs offer well-maintained courses for them to stay on the top of their game. If you prefer to have your outdoor time amplified with a bit of adrenaline, ATVs and other off-road vehicles are available to rent from various outlets. Additionally, skydiving groups and shooting ranges are also available for citizen use. Of course, when people think of the general aesthetic of the state of Arizona, they likely think of the massive geological formations that attract thousands of tourists every year. For a close up look at these formations with some expert knowledge, be sure to look into the day tour groups that visit some of the most popular sites. If you’d like a new home in a place with plenty of options for engagement with the outdoors, Buckeye, Arizona might just be for you.
