Folded into Burlington’s southwest corner, Winnmere is a suburban neighborhood that boasts a convenient location bound by Interstate 95 about 12 miles north of Boston. While its New England-style homes give the community its residential feel, Winnmere boasts access to Burlington’s highly rated schools and vibrant town center. “It’s a great neighborhood because it has a great location off of I-95, has a great school system and has great people,” says local real estate salesperson Jack Lister of Berkshire Hathaway Verani Realty. He adds that Winnmere’s family-friendly atmosphere helps foster a close-knit community. Additionally, Lister notes that a major draw for homebuyers in Winnmere and the greater Burlington area is the uptick in industry, as research institutions and commercial giants have relocated to the town. “People are moving here because it’s an up-and-coming neighborhood,” Lister says. “Burlington in general is up-and-coming because companies are moving up here to be out of Boston.” Burlington is home to research institutions such as The Broad Institute, Northeastern Innovation Campus, and Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. Additionally, commuters with jobs in Boston can
