Sharing its name with one of its roads, Northridge is a growing neighborhood packed between downtown Carson City and Interstate 580. The community consists of numerous homes, recreational amenities and shopping centers with anything from local Hispanic and Asian eateries to big box stores. Outside their doors, residents who like to stay active will find a 41,000-square-foot multi-use facility and a rugged, sagebrush blanketed hill. One of the neighborhood’s borders also has an extensive leisure path flanked by a few flat metal sculptures evoking mining, ranching and railroad themes. “There’s a couple of nice parks,” says Kari Breuer, a broker with Dickson Realty and a Northridge resident. “And it’s just within good proximity to shopping, entertainment, the hospital.
