The town is only about a mile away, but not being within its borders means a quieter atmosphere and lower taxes. And despite being so close, the two areas are in different counties, with Kingstown sitting in Queen Anne’s County. Boeshore says that’s another major plus for many homebuyers. “You’re close to Chestertown, but you get Queen Anne’s schools,” he says. Ranch-style homes, split-levels and Cape Cods are common in Kingstown. Inland fixer-uppers cost between $270,000 and $350,000, while more turnkey homes range from $350,000 to $450,000.
