With everything Chicago has to offer, it’s no surprise that it contains one of the largest commercial business districts in the nation. This district, called the Loop, houses many commercial and financial institutions as well as the government seat of Chicago. Many banks are also headquartered in Chicago, such as Northern Trust, Chase, Wintrust Financial and First Midwest Bank. Chicago also houses one of the Federal Reserve Banks. A large amount of its citizens are also employed by the public school system and government.
