From warehouses to high-rise living
Central Station started as a warehouse district before 1990, but recent redevelopment has turned it into a modern residential area full of sleek high-rises and shopping destinations. Like the neighborhood itself, new residents find themselves quickly becoming a part of the heart of Chicago. Central Station offers an eventful lifestyle of outings to parks and dining establishments, with the added benefit of fantastic Chicago schools just a quick trip away. The area is popular with more than just people as “Central Station is considered one of the most dog-friendly locations in urban America... There are so many parks you can walk to. Grant Park is massive, and you have the 16th Street dog park,” says Grigory Pekarsky, the owner of Vesta Preferred Realty, who has served the Chicago area for more than 14 years.
