Brookhill is a quiet residential neighborhood with single-family homes south of downtown Clearwater. The community gives homebuyers sizable grass lawns with live oaks and palm trees overhead but no sidewalks. Most homes are single-story and include pools, while a small creek does run behind some properties. Brookhill’s location is one of its main draws; it’s close to downtown Clearwater and just 4 miles from local beaches. “It’s a nice quiet area,” says Grace Omyla, a broker/owner at Property Lenders Real Estate. “The houses are a bit older, but people who move into this area usually like the location because it’s so close to the beach.” Homes range from $350,000 to $500,000 in Brookhill, with mostly single-story ranch styles available. Most properties have oak trees in the backyards, and palm trees decorate the front lawns. The neighborhood’s homes were built in the 1950s and 1960s, but many have been remodeled, says Omyla. Brookhill attracts “basically everybody,” says Omyla, from first-time homebuyers to locals and snowbirds from the north. “This is one of the areas that you like the location, and you don’t move; you want to stay there,” says Omyla.
