Jasper Park in Decatur is a neighborhood shaped by the city's industrial past. Dining options include Krekel's Dairy Maid and Krekel's Kustard, serving classic American fare. Basketball is a favorite pastime at the neighborhood's namesake park. Nearby, Hill Park features updated courts for tennis and basketball, a new baseball field, as well as walking trails. The neighborhood is about a mile from Downtown Decatur. Residents can walk, drive or catch a city bus along East Eldorado, East Wood and East Prairie Streets. The community is bordered by train tracks, which can cause traffic delays.
