The park also hosts cultural events and classic car shows. Durazno is about nine miles from Fort Bliss military base. The neighborhood is conveniently located near several state parks and historical landmarks, including Franklin Mountains State Park and the El Paso Zoo. he public school system in El Paso serves the area, but no schools are in the neighborhood. The weather is typically hot and dry, with cooler winters. Most residents find that having a car is necessary for running errands and accessing amenities outside the neighborhood.
