Sambrano is a sunny El Paso neighborhood home to single-family ranches and desert-dwelling palm trees. About six miles east of Downtown El Paso and just north of the Mexican border, Sambrano follows the Franklin Canal and is conveniently intersected by Route 62. Sambrano is primarily comprised of one-story brick, block and stucco residences dating back to the 1930s. Many have patios, fenced-in lots and minimal landscaping. The neighborhood includes Cooley Elementary School, and several middle and high schools can be found within a two-mile radius of the neighborhood.
