Terrace Hills is a small neighborhood of attractively priced midcentury homes in northeast El Paso that offers a tranquil, yet convenient setting. It is bordered by canyons that separate it from the Franklin Mountains. “Often times, people who are moving to that area want to be in a quieter part of the city,” says Debbie Figueroa of The Real Estate Power Houses, who recently sold a home in the neighborhood. The slow-paced residential community does offer the convenience of proximity to Woodrow Bean Transmountain Road, which provides nearby commerce and access throughout the city. A collection of midcentury-moderns and ranch-style homes offers ample yard space. “Larger lots with larger homes on larger streets,” Figueroa says. “There are different pockets in the city with midcentury homes, but this is one of the older, established neighborhoods.” The non-HOA homes, built from the late 1950s through the early 1970s, feature driveways and a mix of carports and attached garages. Several homes have been renovated.
