Parks, shops and restaurants are all a short drive away, and several churches are in the neighborhood. Thomasson says that her family enjoys going for a stroll through the neighborhood, walking along its wide roads. Mid-to-late 20th-century ranch-style homes line the streets, where homes have grassy lawns shaded by oak trees. “We have a really big backyard,” Thomasson says. “We end up with deer and raccoons and possums and foxes. It makes us feel like we’re not in the city.” There are some new traditional bungalows in the southeastern corner. Prices generally range from $65,000 to $175,000.
