Convenient amenities drive housing prices
The community has been growing since the early 2000s, but the overall look has stayed pretty consistent. Most places are traditional two-story or ranch-style homes with vinyl exteriors. You'll also find a few townhomes and condos sprinkled in. The Residence at Valley View Estates is a newer subdivision offering custom homes, some with features such as home theaters and wet bars. Some properties back up to Brandt Crossing Park, which winds through the heart of the area. The median lot size is on the modest side, however, at just over 8,200 square feet. "It's a little small but allows you to get a pretty nice home for [your] budget," says Kaden Monsebroten, a Realtor since 2017 who works with Prime Realty. Prices typically fall from the high $200,000s to the high $700,000s.

Brandt Crossing is probably best known for its central location, according to Monsebroten. "There's a gym nearby. A pretty big gym that people go to here in town called Family Wellness. And you're really close to grocery stores, schools are kind of all over the area — elementary, middle and high — and you're very close to the interstate." There's plenty of shopping and dining right outside the community, including at Osgood Townsite Centre, where there's a Hornbacher's for grocery hauls. But you also have options in the neighborhood: a jewelry store, nail and hair salons, local favorites like The Tavern Grill and morning spots like Boppa's Bagels and Bully Brew Coffee.

With plenty of sidewalks and trails, it's easy to get around on foot. And because shopping and everyday conveniences sit along the edges of the community, many people can walk to those as well. Getting to Downtown Fargo is simple, too — it's about seven miles away, usually a 15-minute drive thanks to quick access to Interstates 94 and 29.
