South Parks Homes for Rent

South Parks, a couple of miles from Downtown Flint and the Flint River, is an older neighborhood on the city's south side. Interstates 69 and 475 are adjacent to the north and west, respectively. Some homes in South Parks date to the early 1900s; newer ones are from the 1980s. Bungalows, ranch-style homes, split levels and Cape Cods are some options. Remodels are common, and some homes have finished basements. Prices range from about $15,000 for a fixer-upper to $150,000 for a newly renovated home. Many single-family homes in the community are rental properties, and there are several apartment complexes. Kids in kindergarten through sixth grade may attend Freeman Elementary School, which earns a D-plus from Niche. For seventh grade through to graduation, there's Flint Southwestern Classical Academy, rated C, and an authorized International Baccalaureate World School. Flint Community Schools district's Schools of Choice program allows enrollment by application to schools outside regular neighborhood zoning.
