In the summer of 1964, four English lads in black ties and suits took the stage at the historic Forest Hills Stadium to the sounds of screaming teenagers. It was clear that night that Beatlemania was alive and well in Forest Hills. Simon & Garfunkel, both of whom graduated from Forest Hills High School, Diana Ross and The Rolling Stones followed in The Beatles’ footsteps and made their mark at Forest Hills Stadium.

The namesake of Forest Hills, a centrally located neighborhood in Queens, the outdoor stadium is located within The West Side Tennis Club, which hosted the U.S. Open until 1978.
Forest Hills properties range from large brick prewar housing cooperatives to single-family Tudors and colonial dwellings. Residents also live in low-rise and high-rise apartments.
The Forest Hills Garden enclave is known for its half-timbered Tudors and old charm. Sitting on 175 acres, this private community boasts luxury residences, winding streets and trademark iron streetlamps.

While Queens Boulevard is the major thoroughfare, Austin Street is the main drag. Stretching a mile, the street has a mix of independently owned shops and restaurants and major retailers and chains. With its minimally seasoned dishes, savor the flavors of Greece at Agora Taverna, or fill up on a warm bowl of Tamashii's signature miso ramen.
Neighborhood gastropub Forest Hills Station House serves craft cocktails and beer with an elevated pub fare menu.

The community's youngest residents begin their educational journey through New York City Public Schools. At Forest Hills High School, students can apply into the Carl Sagan STEM Honors Academy or the Law & Humanities Academy.

One neighborhood green space is Yellowstone Municipal Park, a dog-friendly site that features a large playground.

While Forest Hills is the fictional home of Peter Parker, many notable celebrities have hailed this community as theirs at one point, including Hank Azaria, Billy Eichner, Carroll O'Connor and all original members of The Ramones.

GreatSchools: The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process. This neighborhood is very clean, diverse, and friendly. There are many stores to shop and restaurants to eat in, as well as hang out places to just sit and enjoy the company of your friends. It is very accessible as well and you can never be bored hanging out in this place.

I like the food on Austin street. Forest Hills Stadium has great concerts and the nightlife is nice. The Gardens is also very quiet and peaceful.

My experience living in Forest Hills has been good for the most part.Forest Hills is the wealthy part of Queens. Although it may be diverse majority of residents are of the Russian race. There are a lot of crazy drivers so the streets may not be safe but it is in fact an extremely calm neighborhood.
