Primrose Crossing still has a rural feel outside of suburbia

The primrose flower, which paints the state’s roadsides and prairies, has long been considered a symbol of renewal, a fitting namesake for the growing Primrose Crossing community. Primrose was once a gathering place for farmers and ranchers in Tarrant County – until the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway debuted in 1917. Traces of farmland can still be found in between clusters of modern suburban developments, bordered by private dusty roads. “You have a more rural feel here, yet you’re super close to Chisholm Trail Parkway, which makes it convenient to virtually anywhere, like Fort Worth and Clearfork,” says Brandi Wright, Realtor and owner of Wright Real Estate Brokerage, who has sold homes around the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2005. “Fort Worth is about 16 miles away if you take Chisholm Trail Parkway, and there are endless things to do downtown.”

New developments in Primrose Crossing were once rural farmland

From the identical small lawns to its well-lit sidewalks, Primrose Crossing is what most consider the typical suburban neighborhood. Towering overhead are stately two-story single-family homes, primarily built by developer Trophy Signature Homes, with similar Tudor features of neutral-colored masonry, half-timbered walls and tall ceilings. Depending on square footage, interested homebuyers can expect to secure a three-to four-bedroom home for $300,000 to roughly $450,000. Those with five or more bedrooms and over 3,000 square feet of living space can top off at about $660,000. Present-day developments worth $92 million continue to bring more residential spaces, such as duplex properties, single and multifamily homes, as well as a community center with a pool and courtyard along Brewer Boulevard.

Two-bedroom homes in Primrose Crossing sell for between $250,000 and $380,000.
