This neighborhood unfolds on either side of Florida Avenue, a prominent thoroughfare, and is close to downtown Hemet. While the housing stock is older, properties in Weston Park can offer buyers bang for their buck. It’s the type of neighborhood that local Realtor George Williams says he would explore if he were a first-time homebuyer. “It’s less expensive there. You can buy a two-bedroom, one-bath, still maybe in the low $300,000s,” says Williams, who’s with Coldwell Banker Associated Brokers Realty and is on the Southwest Riverside County Association of Realtors board of directors. The community is also home to Hemet Global Medical Center and is within walking distance of Florida Avenue, Hemet's main thoroughfare. Houses in Weston Park date as far back as the 1920s, but include many others constructed through the 1970s. Styles include everything from Craftsman bungalows to Spanish Colonials, and sizes range from about 750 to nearly 3,000 square feet.
