East of Hudson’s bustling small-town center is Gospel Hill, where large, modern homes sit secluded under a dense tree canopy. “There’s not a lot of land left, but it’s definitely a custom home area,” says S. Elaine McDonald, a 30-year real estate consultant with Re/Max Executive Realty. “The majority of higher-end homes tend to be on the east side of Hudson, in Gospel Hill. The lots here are larger than in other parts of town, which enhances the privacy residents have.” Gospel Hill is within minutes of Hudson’s retail and dining centers by car and connects to local trails for greater pedestrian access around town. Gospel Hill hosts custom New Traditional, Colonial Revival and Craftsman-style homes built in the last few years, with a couple of homes dating back to the late 1990s. Homes are priced from $700,000 to $1.2 million, varying by square footage and lot size. Most of Gospel Hill’s streets are winding and shaded by tall trees, though clustered subdivisions have a more organized, suburban feel to them.
