North Brook is one of Joplin's newest neighborhoods on the city's expanding north side. Schuber Mitchell and other prominent builders have been developing this area since the 1990s, creating a quiet community with larger homes. "I think it's because it's quiet — it's not like people are driving up and down the roads all the time," Mishler says. North Brook sits along the Frisco Greenway Trail, the only greenway in Joplin proper. This rails-to-trail route runs 3 miles between Joplin and Webb City to the north.
