Stately homes minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip
Less than 15 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, past the bronze horse statues and through the guard-gated entrances, lies Queensridge. Here, homebuyers can find a neighborhood with arching tree canopies and green lawns announcing this 800-acre upscale community. The area was developed between 1997 and 2007 and divided into two sections, Queensridge North and Queensridge South, each with its own entrance and amenities. The key part of the area is quick access to a wide variety of dining and shopping options, as well as two casinos less than a mile away. The neighborhood also is near well respected public schools. Tennis greats, such as Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf are among the neighborhood’s celebrity residents, along with several NBA stars. “The area is guard gated and in a really good location,” says Terri Grosse, a member of the Vegas Valley Home Team who has served the community for over 31 years. “Downtown Summerlin is pretty close by.”
Luxury custom Las Vegas homes
Queensridge comprises almost 1,000 luxury custom and semi-custom homes that can range from townhouses to massive manors. Homes can come in a variety of styles and sizes, with many sharing earthen tones and stucco exteriors, often inspired by Mediterranean and Tudor styles. Additional options within two high-rise towers offer stellar views and have exclusive amenities like a lap pool, theater and gym. The variety of homes leads to a range of prices, with townhouses and condos starting at $325,000, and massive penthouse suites and Spanish-revival-inspired manors going up to $2.2 million. The area does have HOA fees, but they vary depending on the area and home style, often hovering around $800.

Gated parks and wide-open canyons
Inside Queensridge, there are multiple parks for residents to enjoy without having to leave the neighborhood. These shaded havens offer colorful playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts and shaded picnic areas. However, just a short 5-mile drive away is Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, which is a globally recognized natural preserve. The area is popular for its breathtaking views, some of which were filming spots for early Westerns and TV shows like Bonanza and Lost in Space.

Fun and games the Vegas way
The Queensridge community also has a great location through its access to nearby recreation. The neighborhood is “across the street from two casinos,” Grosse says. The Rampart Casino has been in the area for over 20 years and was the first in the Summerlin area. “The casino has a lot of palm trees and a pool; it is just beautiful,” Grosse says. Locals can also head to the Los Vegas Ballpark to catch a minor-league baseball game or walk through twinkling lights during Enchant, a popular attraction during the Christmas season, which lights up the stadium with lights, sculptures, and ice-skating rinks that had over one million visitors in 2023.

Summerlin shopping malls and villages
Multiple shopping centers are also less than a 2-mile drive from the neighborhood for a wide variety of shopping and dining options. Boca Park is a large shopping mall just to the east of the neighborhood and is full of stores for local clothing, furniture and pet needs. Just across the street from the mall is Honey Salt, a locally owned restaurant run by Elizabeth Blau, an award-winning restaurateur. Just two blocks north is Tivoli Village, “which has tons of dining and shopping,” Grosse says. “It’s the kind of place where everyone goes for prom night.” The area is home to Echo & Rig Butcher and Steakhouse, which is a popular date night spot for locals and visitors alike. Smith, Albertsons and Whole Foods are all along West Charleston Boulevard for a variety of grocery options.

Easy trips outside of Queensridge’s gates
While the quiet gated streets of Queensridge may be good for a daily stroll, many residents choose to take their cars or head to one of the nearby bus stops to explore the Las Vegas area. West Charleston Boulevard and Summerlin Pkwy are around the northern and southern ends of the neighborhood and are the main routes for locals to reach the greater Las Vegas area. For trips outside of Nevada, Harry Reid International Airport is about 20 miles away and offers more than 490 flights a day.
Clark County School District
Queensridge students can begin their education at John W. Bonner Elementary, which receives a B-plus rating on Niche and was named a Department of Education Blue Ribbon School, recognizing exemplary student achievement. Sig Rogich Middle School is the next stop for students. It also receives a B-plus rating and offers courses for high school credit, including pre-AP World History and Biology and world languages like Spanish and Japanese. Students at the B-plus rated Palo Verde High School were accepted to top colleges and universities, including Yale, Harvard and Notre Dame.

The loss of Badlands Golf Course
Queensridge was built alongside the privately owned Badlands golf course that closed in 2016. Million-dollar views of the fairways are gone, replaced by brown fields and stumps from trees that got cut down. The 250-acre parcel remains undeveloped after years of litigation. For medical care, the Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is less that 3 miles to the north of the neighborhood.
